Challenge: Help one client sell a lot and another find a lot

At Asher Custom Homes we take pride in the knowledge we have of the region and the many ways we support the community. Frequently, we have lots for sale or know of land that may not be available in multiple listings. When this design-build client came to Asher, they were hoping for a lot in Edgemont Highlands. An Asher client wanted to sell their lot in Edgemont and the matchmaking began. The results benefited everyone.

The wooded location with the house sited to take advantage of the sloping lot is a showcase for a home that compliments the environment. Entering the home into the great room, the high ceilings, grand fireplace and windows embrace the ponderosa forest and become a focal point of the design. In order to create a truly great room, the Asher team designed timber trusses framing the view and secured with iron turnbuckle collar ties; hardware details that were locally fabricated.

This couple wanted a design to accommodate entertaining both inside and out. 1500 square feet of decks wrap around the back that provide generous outdoor living spaces, a fireplace, a hot tub, big screen TV and an outdoor grill.  The indoor dining room merges with the outdoor fireplace on the deck with a seamless pocket door system.

The Asher team works with clients, subcontractors and local craftsmen to ensure all their projects come together from finding the lot and beginning designs through construction, interior finishes and décor. The result in this home is a showcase of contemporary western elegance.
