Certified Green Professional

Through the National Green Building Program, the National Association of Home Builders is helping its members move the practice of green building and sustainable building practices into the mainstream. Energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are increasingly incorporated into the everyday process of home building. From greywater systems to passive solar design, conserving our resources is a priority.

The Certified Green Professional is an exclusive designation offered by the NAHB. It is designed to teach industry professionals strategies for incorporating green design and building principles into homes using cost-effective options. Certification requires a minimum of 2 years industry experience, successful completion of Green Building courses, as well as continuing education. The entire management team at Asher Custom Homes are certified Green Professionals.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

LEED is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building types, LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. A LEED AP credential distinguishes those with advanced knowledge in green building, plus expertise in a particular LEED rating system.
